MGBCE COMMITTEE DESCRIPTION
Since its inception in 2000, the annual Municipal Green Building Conference and Expo (MGBCE) has become a very important gathering of leading sustainability and green building advocates within both the public and private sectors in southern California. Hosted by the Southern California Gas Company at the ERC building in Downey, this annual Spring conference and trade show provides training, education and outreach to inform local government agencies, building industry professionals and the general public about the principles, practices and products associated with green building.

Chair
Ms. Tholen is an experienced Sustainability and Facilities Management professional, and has been a LEED AP since 2004.
Competencies include: Alternative transportation strategies, tenant engagement, involvement, and data collection. Waste reduction, waste diversion, and recycling. Marketing materials to promote and communicate green initiatives. Sourcing of sustainable products, supplies, food, and services.
Her project involvement has included tenant improvement supervision, long range occupancy planning, site selection, programming, space planning, FF&E installation, move management and site decommissions.
