Attention Volunteers!
The Emerging Professionals Committee of USGBC Los Angeles represents students, younger professionals and people new to green building in the region. The Committee is dedicated to providing members with affordable access to knowledge, resources, recognition, networking and organizational excellence – regardless of area of study or field of practice. USGBC-LA EP’s acknowledge that positive change for sustainable development cannot occur without the active participation of individuals volunteering and encouraging awareness and diversity in the green building movement. Furthermore, the effectiveness of positive change depends on passionate, informed, and capable individuals to implement effective strategies; the Committee therefore shall help develop these leaders and foster such opportunities. The Committee is currently looking to fill a number of volunteer-based leadership positions. As participants, the resources available to you will include sustainability-focused educational events and programs, coordinated social events, and opportunities to engage in community development projects. Numerous individual and team based activities will allow you to develop your social, professional and civic capabilities.
