The San Gabriel Valley Branch’s purpose to form a branch within its territory encompasses a myriad of integrative goals aligned with USGBC-L.A.’s expectations to create a sustainable environment. The unique location of this potential branch enables itself to transform the sustainable movement in both private and public sectors, and as well the surrounding communities. The branch has sponsored a variety of events including tours of LEED certified projects, educational events and social networking. All of the Los Angeles Chapter branches (Long Beach and Westside in addition to SGV) are working together to share events so members living and working in different parts of Los Angeles County can have the same quality events and educational opportunities. The San Gabriel Valley branch membership is very diverse and has a strong commitment to being involved in the green building movement.
